An Organic Spiral in the Spirit of Alvar Aalto's Liquid Philosophy and humanistic approach to design, the intentionally curved yet rigid necklace showcases an organic-shaped spiral that draws attention to the neckline. The necklace features a hard linear structure with softer ergonomic contours that create movement, suggesting a dance between the wearer and the object.     How Is 18K Gold Vermeil Made?

    Gold Vermeil is gold plating over 925 Sterling Silver with the electroplating technique.

    Mara Paris Gold Vermeil is produced with the highest standards of quality using 18K gold in our partner atelier in Paris that works with major luxury houses and the aeronautics industry.

    Each country has different standards for vermeil. For example, in the US, a thickness of 2.5 microns of plating is considered vermeil. However, in France, vermeil has to be made with at least a thickness of 5 microns of gold. At Mara Paris, we ensure a minimum plating of 5 microns all around the surface of each piece of jewelry. Due to the nature of the process, some sections of the jewelry might have a coating of more than 5 microns.

    In the end, when you purchase a piece of vermeil jewelry from Mara Paris, you are likely to have more than two times of gold plating on your jewelry compared to other brands.

    How well the jewelry is cared and how frequently its worn will impact its lifespan. Jewelry you wear frequently will experience more wear and tear than jewelry you wear occasionally. Over time, the gold plating on gold vermeil jewelry may wear off or become scratched, particularly in areas subject to friction or impact. This is more common with rings than other pieces.

    The process is entirely nickel-free. In each step, utmost care is taken to reduce the impact on nature.

Our jewelry is ethically handmade in small quantities in our ateliers with the highest quality materials and standards. We fulfill orders as quickly as possible depending on the availability. In stock items ship within 2-3 days. Other items ship within 2-4 weeks or 4-6 weeks depending on their lead time. You can verify the shipping timeline for each product on its respective page before placing your order.

For orders containing items with varying shipping times, we'll likely ship everything together once all items are ready. If you need faster shipping for certain items, we recommend placing separate orders.

Shipping carriers

We partner with DHL Express, UPS or Fedex to deliver your order based on your location. Once your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email with a tracking number. Delivery typically takes 2-5 business days after shipment.

Customs & taxes

All orders are shipped from Paris, France. For the following countries, all duties and taxes are included in the final price:

How to return or exchange jewelry purchased online?

Jewelry can be returned if tried on with the same care as in-store. Any use beyond this may leave wear marks, making the item unsuitable for resale and ineligible for a return or an exchange, as determined by our experts.

For online orders, you have up to 30 days from the date you received the items to request and ship unused items.

Items purchased online and collected in-store are subject to the same return policy as in-store purchases.

Return and exchange policy

While our jewelry is handmade with strict quality control, if you notice a manufacturing defect upon receipt, you must report it within 24 hours via email. The item will be inspected to confirm the defect.

All returned item(s) must be:

  • Unworn
  • Unused
  • In perfect condition (no scratches, cracks, stains, deformations, etc.)
  • With their original tags attached and intact
  • In their original size
  • With all original components (sets must be complete and not partial)

Items must be returned in their original packaging. Returns in envelopes will not be accepted.

You will be provided a prepaid shipping label. Prepaid labels are charged based on your location:
