The European Union Nickel Directive initiated in 1994 regulates the use of nickel in jewelry. Nickel is a hazardous and allergenic metal. The United States and other countries doesn't have such strict regulations therefore, check with each brand to ensure that they don't contain nickel.

Mara Paris jewelry, our ateliers, our partners, and the production process are entirely nickel-free.

Mara Paris jewelry is ethically handmade in small quantities by expert artisans in our ateliers in safe and quality working conditions. Jewelry craftmanship is a skill that takes generations to perfect, and care, patience, passion are essential for every step of our process. As every piece is handcrafted, they may vary slightly.

We work with our trusted long-time partners for highly specialized tasks like vermeil electroplating.

As an independent jewelry brand, we focus on designing and producing unique, high-quality jewelry that differs from cheap, mass-produced goods found elsewhere.

All Mara Paris jewelry is laser engraved to ensure quality and authenticity. We choose to engrave in small size, but it is easy to spot with the naked eye. To examine it in detail, you might need a loop.

Every jewelry contains two markings:

• Mara Paris logo
• Official French state-recognized Mara Paris hallmark

We use the GIA International Diamond Grading System. It is based on the 4 Cs – Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat weight. We use GVS quality, round brilliant cut diamonds for this piece. GVS diamonds offer a great balance of quality and value.

G signifies the color quality, it is a bright white diamond within near-colorless category. G color diamonds look amazing in a pavé setting.

VS signifies the clarity. This is an abbreviation for “very slight”, referring to inclusions, or indeed lack of them. Any inclusions in these diamonds can only be detected with an expert eye and with the use of a jeweller’s loupe.

A GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certificate can only be provided for individual diamonds that are over 0.3 carats.
